The Importance of Technology in Education

Many things are currently related to technology. One of the beneficial things that I have personally experienced is the positive contribution to education. My first time experiencing it was at Daraja. One of the benefits it has is it helps me to break my boundaries in education. It makes the subjects easier to learn because of the research available on the internet. It accommodates all kinds of students, such as audio-visual learners.

Innovation and creativity is enhanced using technology. Also, history students are updated about the trending issues in their village, town, city, county, country, continent and the world. It also helps students to be independent in their work by enhancing individual learning, and improves the writing and research skills of Daraja students. Technology motivates students because it is always patient and information is readily available. It increases collaboration between teachers and students because it makes students more curious about learning. Technology is necessary in today’s workforce, and therefore students should be taught these skills as early as possible.

It is because of these reasons that a priority at Daraja should be an update to existing computers, as well as a room for a computer lab. This new technology will help to leave each Daraja girl in a better way, with more knowledge, than she was found with.
